THE "COLUMBIA" WAS CUSTOM BUILT TO RESEMBLE A VINTAGE INLAND WATERWAY TOWING VESSEL.  SHE WAS BUILT TO THE FINEST STANDARDS BY TUCKER MARINE, INC., OF CINCINATTI, OHIO, A MASTER BUILDER OF MARINE CRAFT FOR OVER 35 YEARS.  THERE ARE TWO CABIN LEVELS WITH A LARGE CABIN AREA ON THE FIRST DECK TOPPED BY A RAISED PILOT HOUSE AND LARGE OPEN DECK ABOVE.  SHE HAS A WELDED STEEL HULL AND SUPERSTRUCTURE AND IS POWERED BY A SMALL DIESEL ENGINE DRIVING THE STERN PADDLE WHEEL.

THE FORWARD BOW DECK AREA IS APPROXIMATELY 10'X 20', FITTED WITH TWO TOWING KNEES, CAPSTAN AND WINCHES.  THE MAIN DECKHOUSE CABIN IS 60' X 15' WITH THE FORWARD 52' BEING LIVING SPACE AND THE AFT MOST 8' DEVOTED TO ENGINE AND WORK ROOM.ACCESS TO THE MAIN CABIN IS VIA A 36" DOOR TO STARBOARD AND A LARGE SLIDER TO PART ABOUT MIDSHIP.  ACCESS TO THE ENGINE ROOM IS BY 36" DOORS PORT AND STARBOARD.

THE TOP OR SECOND DECK IS BASICALLY OPEN WITHT THE PILOT HOUSE SET FORWARD. THE AREA IS 60' X 15' SURROUNDED BY RAILING WITH ACCESS TO THE PILOT HOUSE VIA SLIDING DOORS ON PORT AND STARBOARD OR FROM THE LOWER DECK VIA STEPS FROM THE LIVING AREA.  THE PILOT HOUSE IS 12' X 12'.  AN OVERHANG ROOF EXTENDS AFT 12' TO PROVIDE SHELTER TO A PORTION OF THE AFT DECK.  THE UPPER DECK IS FINISHED OFF WITH A SIMULATED SMOKE STACK TO GIVE THE BOAT IT'S VINTAGE APPEARANCE.
